Inkle WeavingFairbanks Fiber Festival Class

Location: Pioneer Park - Cabin 66 - Back Room

Learn the basics of weaving an “inkle”, a narrow band useful for trim, straps, leashes, and many other things. 

You will learn to design a pattern, warp the loom, and weave your project (which you will take home with you).

Materials will be provided. Loaner looms will be available for use and/or purchase. Bring your own inkle loom if you have one.

Minimum number of students: 2

Age range: 12 to adult (ages 12 – 17 must have an accompanying co-learning adult also registered in the class.)

Prerequisites: No experience necessary, but the ability to tie a square knot is helpful.
