This is a perfect introduction class for whittling.
We will whittle a leaf out of a green birch branch. The only tools we will use are a saw (to cut a piece of branch) and a whittling knife. Tools and wood are provided, but you can bring your own if you like.
We will learn the basics of grain direction and tool grips, as well as dos and don’ts for safety.
The only prerequisite for this class is that your hands are strong enough to have a firm grip on the knife, and that you are comfortable whittling a hotdog (or marshmallow) stick out of a branch.
Maximum number of students: 10
