Minimalist Running SandalsInstructor:  Christine Fik

Date of the class: Saturday, June 20, 2020

Time of the class: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Location: Pioneer Park - Outdoors near Workshop

If you are interested in (or already incorporate) minimalist or barefoot style into your running, come learn how to make your own Alaska-tough hurraches! June 20th is the scheduled date for the Midnight Sun Run (provided it happens this year), so make your sandals, and then run under the midnight sun!

Using simple materials like bike tires and Paracord we will learn how to make custom running sandals and how to tie them in different ways. We will also talk about running and everything related to making these sandals.
Scissors and sharp tools will be used.

This class will be held outdoors near the Workshop, and we will have tents up in case of rain. Participants will be asked to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.

Note: We will provide the paracord, but we will be utilizing old fat bike tires to make the shoes, so if you have fat bike tires you can donate, please bring them.
