Fairbanks Fiber Festival Class

Instructor: Linda Harriger

Dates of the class: Materials kits will be available for pick up on Wednesday October 28th, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and Saturday, October 31st, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Materials kits can be picked up at The Folk School cabin.

Live Zoom workshop will be on Saturday, November 7th, 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

Using the materials in this free kit, learn to use simple yarn and sticks to create your own unique Gods Eye design. Workshop participants will learn how to join the sticks to create the frame of the Ojo, how to wind on yarn to create the design and how to change colors and textures to add interest. By the end of the session, workshop participants will know how to make their own Ojo designs from scratch using common items found around the house, garden, or woods.

This workshop is great for all ages and no prior experience is required.  Making Ojos de Dios is fun and relaxing – a creative project for the whole family to share!
