Volunteers are needed, including (but not limited to) folks with basic carpentry skills.
Date of event: Saturday, May 13, 2023
Time of event: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Location: Stone Soup Community Garden (500 12th Avenue, Fairbanks, Alaska 99701)
The Folk School is helping our neighbors at the Stone Soup Community Garden build new raised garden beds to replace several that are in a state of disrepair.
Folk School instructors and volunteers will be building simple raised beds onsite. Stop by to see how the raised beds are built, ask questions, and lend a hand.
This project is part of a collaborative effort between Bread Line, Calypso Farm, and The Folk School to increase food security in downtown and south Fairbanks, funded by donations from our community and a grant from the State of Alaska Division of Agriculture.
Volunteers are needed, including (but not limited to) folks with basic carpentry skills.
Please contact Kerri Hamos at kerri@folk.school to learn more or to volunteer.
