John Manthei Shrink Pots
Shrink pots (or boxes) made by master woodworker and Folk School Founder John Manthei.
A shrink pot is a container made by hollowing out a section of a small green log and then allowing it to shrink around a fitted dry bottom. A lid and embellishments can then be added if desired. In the hands of a skilled maker these containers can be water tight.
