Right now, your donation goes twice as far for folk education because we have a $5000 match pledged from a generous friend of The Folk School!
for the 2025 Spring Appeal!
By April 30th, our goal is to raise $15,000 to support The Folk School’s mission and programs. During this 2025 spring appeal, your donation supports three important goals:
- Strengthening the Scholarship Fund. Donations fuel the scholarships that help people access classes who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford them. We are trialing ways to make Folk School classes affordable for everyone, including sliding scale pricing. You can help ensure we have a robust scholarship fund to make this possible.
- Expanding Children’s Programming. The grant funded free workshop pilot series for teens this spring has been very well received. Your donation helps us continue offering free and low-cost, high quality programming (including printmaking, botanical dyeing, woodcarving, and more!) for teens and children throughout the year.
- Making Sure Our Buildings are Open, Accessible, and Safe! The buildings we lease at Pioneer Park, as well as the guest cabins donated to The Folk School, are aging and need some loving attention every now and again to keep them safe and upright! We also hope to make the classes at Cabin 66 more accessible for folks with mobility concerns. Your donation helps us increase the accessibility, safety, and longevity of The Folk School’s home.
